Artist's Description

The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Convertible is an American Icon.

Popular American automobile styling may have reached its pinnacle in the 1950s with the 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air. An evolution of the 1955 model, which saw the famous Chevy Small Block V8 introduction. The 1957 Chevy’s maintained the reputation for power in a lightweight body resulting in both speed and fuel efficiency unequaled in the larger, heavier cars to follow.

The 1957 Bel Airs have been widely featured in movies, music, and television. They are highly sought today, and there is no finer color than Tropical Turquoise.

This goregous Bel Air Convertible is on display in the Route 66 exhibit at the Transportation Museum in St Louis.
