Description
Autumn at bridge number 6 on Seven Bridges Road.
This has always been my favorite bridge on the drive since there is a long cascading waterfall located here. It's also a popular swimming hole in the summer.
Seven Bridges Road is named because of its numerous historic stone-arch bridges. At just 4 miles long, the drive follows Amity Creek, crisscrossing back and forth over it. During the drive, the creek has a 400 foot elevation change making it one long cascade of waterfalls before it meets up with the Lester River and heads out into Lake Superior.
There are actually nine bridges on the drive but two were bypassed when Seven Bridges Road was connected to Skyline Parkway. They are now part of a hiking trail.
One of the more beautiful drives in Duluth, it is the eastern terminus for Duluth’s famous Skyline Parkway.
Seven Bridges Road is located in Duluth, Minnesota, USA.
