Artist's Description

Located in Grand Marais, Minnesota is an iconic piece of Americana that marks the old entrance to the historic Gunflint Trail. Originally placed here in 1938, these two welcome signs have probably been photographed by almost every tourist to travel down this trail in the past 80 years. On the left you have a bear driving a motorboat and on the right is a Voyageur carrying a canoe.
