Artist's Description

A magical sunset captured at The Point in Shenandoah National Park, Virginia.

It is not unusual for me to shoot 300+ images when capturing a sunset since they evolve and change over time. I'm pretty selective; after scanning though all those almost identical images, typically only one will stand out as that perfect moment in time when the colors hit their peak.

This was one of those rare evenings where the colors continued to evolve and improve long into the twilight even after everyone else had left and gone home. I ended up with a golden hour and (at least in my opinion) three very different sunsets. I couldn't choose my favorite, I'll let you be the judge.

My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
