Artist's Description

The Jasper City Mill, a working grist mill grinding corn, is the signature building for the “Old Jasper” historic area in Jasper, Indiana. The mill, constructed in 2009, is the third to occupy this location on the Patoka River. The mill stones have been reused from the previous mills; they are approximately 200 years old and came from France, while the waterwheel hub and gears came from a mill in Virginia and are somewhere between 120 to 150 years old.

About Susan Rissi Tregoning

Susan Rissi Tregoning

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change. My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
