Description
Staunton’s 1896 Masonic Temple, used as a lodge for over 100 years, is the most imposing building, with its gable roof rising high above the rest it is quickly identifiable.
Staunton, Virginia, has one of Virginia’s finest collections of Victorian-era architecture. Beverley Street, Staunton’s downtown “Main Street,” is listed on the National Register as a Historic District with 131 buildings, most of them dating from the city’s “boom” years between 1870 and 1920.
