Description
Captured mid-jump just before snaring a mouse, this fox's daytime hunting behavior is rare, as they predominantly hunt at night. The act of leaping while hunting is actually called mousing. I was surprised to learn that foxes generally catch meat only once or twice a week, especially since we observed this one devour at least two mice within 20 minutes.
I guess that’s one of the benefits of living in Grand Teton National Park.
