Artist's Description

Natural Bridge in western Virginia is a 215-foot high natural arch that is 90 feet wide. You would never guess it from this beautiful scenic view, but Highway 11 runs across the top of the arch above. This natural arch is what remains of an underground river tunnel through which Cedar Creek flowed, cutting its way through this limestone gorge.

Natural Bridge is a National Historic Landmark and a Virginia Historic Landmark. It became a State Park in 2016.
