Artist's Description

Built in 1888, the North Point Lighthouse seen today is a beautifully restored landmark located on Milwaukee's East Side in the picturesque Lake Park. One hundred feet inland from where the original 1855 lighthouse stood on an eroding bluff, this unique white octagonal lighthouse and Queen Anne styled keeper's quarters once served a bustling maritime trade on Lake Michigan.
