Artist's Description

Located south of Scotts Bluff in western Nebraska, Robidoux Trading Post sits just off the Robidoux Pass. It was established in 1851 by a French family named Robidoux who were engaged in free trade with the Plains Indians.

Robidoux Pass was a natural gap through the Wild Cat Hills and predates Mitchell Pass as the route pioneers took when traveling west.
