Description
The Saguaro cactus is the largest cactus in the United States. They are found exclusively in the Sonoran Desert, more specifically, in southern Arizona and western Sonora, Mexico. You can also find a few stray plants in southeastern California.
Saguaro can live to be 150 to 200 years old. They grow very slowly. A ten year old plant may only be 1.5 inches tall but they will eventually grow to between 40 to 60 feet tall and can weigh between 3200 to 4800 pounds!
