Lovely yellow wildflowers growing on the hillside beside Sims Pond in the Julian Price Memorial Park on the Blue Ridge Parkway.
The Black-eye Susan is a common flower to be found along the Blue Ridge in summer months. Known for its yellow petals and brown domed center, it has many names different names Blackiehead, Brown Betty, Brown-eyed Susan, Gloriosa Daisy, Golden Jerusalem, Yellow Daisy, Brown Daisy, Poorland Daisy and Yellow Ox-eye Daisy.
