Artist's Description
Exposed to the elements, cracked and crumbling in various stages of deterioration, these giant Presidential busts are surrounded by heavy equipment in an apocalyptic industrial wasteland where the mold and moss adds character and awesomeness to the entire experience.
They were once part of an educational park that went bankrupt during the recession of 2010; and now reside on private property near Williamsburg, Virginia. Each head stands 20 to 22 feet tall, weighing in somewhere between 15 to 20 tons. There are 42 heads in all; the collection ended with George W. Bush when the park closed.
Hard to find, Thomas Jefferson is in the back row, even though he is considered one of the “8 Great Presidents”.

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath.
