Artist's Description

Bixby Bridge is a reinforced concrete open-spandrel arch bridge in Big Sur, California. Prior to the opening of the bridge in 1932, residents of Big Sur had to drive the Old Coast Road which took them 11 miles inland. When the 320 foot long bridge was completed it was the longest concrete arch span on a California highway.

This is a different angle than typically seen of the bridge. It was shot from the Old Coast Road.
