Artist's Description

Located in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, this was the last surviving Packard dealership in the state. The dealer went out of business shortly after the last Packard automobile rolled off the assembly line in Indiana around 1958.

In 2008, the building was purchase by a man that collects old cars. He restored the building back to a Packard showroom and named it The Orphan Motor Company since he collects orphaned cars brands such as Packard, Plymouth and Oldsmobile. I believe he also runs his agriculture real estate and insurance business out of the building.

My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
