Artist's Description

I was in a mad rush to get to the Rio Grande River, hoping that I wouldn’t be too late to see Betty’s Baby Grande hot air balloon do a Splash and Dash when her looming presence over the river made me pause to take this shot. There was so much excitement tied up at this moment for me, my first splash and dash.

This image was captured during the 2021 International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
