Artist's Description
The Carnegie-Viersen Public Library located in Pella, Iowa was dedicated in December of 1907 was constructed on land donated by Miss Siebertje H. Viersen in honor of her father, she also donated $6000 to purchase books. Pella built a new library in 1999. This beautiful historic building is now the Pella City Hall.
The Carnegie-Viersen Public Library was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
