The Fanning 66 Outpost General Store on Route 66 in Fanning, Missouri is the home of the largest rocking chair on Route 66. It is now the second-largest rocking chair in the world, but it held the title of the largest rocker for 7 years until 2015 when a larger rocking chair was built in Casey, Illinois.

The rocking chair was built to be a Route 66 roadside attraction and tourist draw to their general store.

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath.
