Artist's Description

A Cedar Waxwing shows off the berry he is eating from a Mountain Ash Tree.

Flocks of Cedar Waxwings will descend on a berry laden tree or hedge and flutter among the branches as they feast. These birds are sociable and it is rare to see just one waxwing. Occasionally a line of waxwings will perch on a branch and pass a berry back and forth from bill to bill until one of them swallows it. Berries are their favorite food.
