Artist's Description

The Shamrock, Texas, Route 66 mural was created by artist Joey Martinez in 2019.

Shamrock’s name is spelled out in a large script font with a green three-leaf clover AKA Shamrock in place of the “O.” Painted inside the letters are images of the town’s landmarks and its primary industry: Conoco Tower Staton and U-Drop Inn Café, a Route 66 shield, Magnolia Station, the Texas Theater, Water Tower, and the cattle industry.
