Product Details

Our luxuriously soft beach towels are made from brushed microfiber with a 100% cotton back for extra absorption.   The top of the towel has the image printed on it, and the back is white cotton.   Our beach towels are available in two different sizes: beach towel (32" x 64") and beach sheet (37" x 74").

Don't let the fancy name confuse you... a beach sheet is just a large beach towel.

Artist's Description

I was quite disappointed to discover that the St. Roch chapel was closed for renovations when I visited the cemetery. A visit to the shrine was pretty high on my bucket list, so I walked around the chapel and shot this through a very dirty window. The dirt makes the image extra grainy and a little soft but I think that adds to the eeriness of the composition.

The reason for the chapel and shrine, as the story goes…

Back in the times of a yellow fever epidemic, Father Peter Leonard Thevis prayed to Saint Roch for his parishioner’s health. Saint Roch, besides being the patron saint of dogs, is the patron saint of healing and the keeper of good health. In his prayers, Father Thevis promised to build a chapel to honor St. Roch if no one in his parish died from the epidemic. The community stayed healthy and the chapel was built.

Just off the altar of the chapel, is a small room that is a shrine to St. Roch. For decades, believers have been leaving their brac...

About Susan Rissi Tregoning

Susan Rissi Tregoning

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath. I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change. My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
