Artist's Description
Built in 1890 for the Rainy family, this mansion was designed by Thomas Sully. Sully is viewed as one of the most prominent Louisiana architects of the late nineteenth century and was among the first to form the unique architectural look of Uptown New Orleans. This home is the most intact of the few remaining “Sullys” left in the city.
Located in the Garden District of New Orleans at 2631 Prytania Street, it is currently a Bed and Breakfast.

I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath.
