Artist's Description
Known today as the Lincoln Depot, the Great Western Railroad Depot in Springfield, Illinois, is the site where Abraham Lincoln gave his farewell address to Springfield and boarded the train on February 11, 1861, bound for Washington, DC, for his inauguration as the 16th President of the United States.

About Susan Rissi Tregoning
I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. My husband became a medical traveler, and I decided to put my career on hold to tag along. In the process, I found my roots again. What...
