Product Details

Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

Artist's Description

This bronze statue is of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark along with their dog, Seaman. It originally sat at the edge of the Mississippi River in the shadow of the Eads Bridge and spent more time in the water or underwater than above. As part of the Gateway Arch and park renovation that was completed in 2018, it was restored and placed in a new location about 200 feet south and 17 feet higher.

“The Captains’ Return” was dedicated in September of 2006 and honors the 200th anniversary of Lewis & Clarks return after their famous trip to explore the Missouri River. A plaque near the statue reads: “At noon on September 23, 1806, the Lewis and Clark expedition ended on the St. Louis riverfront after a journey along the Missouri River to its headwaters, a passage of the Rocky Mountains and a descent to the Pacific Coast via the Columbia River. I'm a travel photographer that enjoys photographing United States architecture, nature, and transportation. As the 8th photographer in 4 generations of my family, I don't remember a time when photography was not part of my life. By the time I was five years old, I was standing on a stool in the darkroom, helping my dad develop pictures. It was my job to transfer the photos from the hypo to the water bath. I went to college for interior design. After I graduated, I had a long successful career as an art buyer and designer for a large home furnishings company. In 2006, I had a significant life change.
