Description
Fallugia paradoxa, which is known by the common names Apache plume and ponil is a member of the rose family. This desert wildflower is native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico, where it is found in arid habitats such as the Chihuahua Desert. It has white flowers with attractive, pinkish seed plumes.
