Description
While this building in the downtown Chicago Loop now houses Macy's department store, the building's two iconic street corner clocks will forever be known as the Marshall Field Street Clocks.
Once the flagship location for Marshall Field, the building was build in two stages. The first Marshall Field clock was installed in 1897 on the State and Washington Street corner. Then, when phase two of the building was completed in 1902, a second, fancier clock was added at the intersection of State and Randolph Streets.
This image is of the 1902 street corner clock.
